Engineered for Efficiency

From a process engineering perspective, all EL-ZIP® formats are designed with low Seal Initiation Temperatures (SIT) to reduce thermal load during pouch conversion. This ensures stable sealing performance even on delicate, thin-gauge films. Such behavior is particularly important for recyclable laminates, which typically offer narrower thermal windows and are more prone to heat distortion.

By lowering SIT thresholds, ELPLAST enables converters to achieve strong, consistent seals without compromising on line speed or risking material damage.

Just as critical is the high-speed processing reliability built into every zipper profile. ELPLAST closures are fully optimized for form-fill-seal (FFS) machinery, enabling smooth film transport, accurate positioning, and repeatable sealing performance. This is essential in large-scale production environments, where even minor deviations — from zipper crushing to sealing misalignment — can result in costly downtime or product rejection.
