The new facility will benefit from automated polymer delivery to its 30 lines with a capacity of over 2 billion metres. Conveyers and auto roll changers will minimise hand contact with the finished product which will then depart from a dedicated goods out facility. Each element has been carefully thought through from the airlocked production area, water & air treatment and rigorous procedures; providing unprecedented levels of product hygiene. Zipper profiles are systematically checked for dimensional conformance and opening force levels. Not only as these tested at the batch level but every single roll is individually checked as part of Elplast’s world leading quality procedures.

Is that was not enough Elplast is also taking this opportunity to develop a centre of innovation excellence. This new facility will have 6 dedicated R&D extrusion lines and pouch making equipment that will not only show case Elplast’s range of high performance zip applicators but will also be able to produce short run prototypes. This service will allow customer to try out new zip development in pack styles that reflect production grade products using their own branded film.
Currently with over 250 products in the EL-ZIP range our new facilities will provide the possibility for brand owners and converters to continually out innovate the competition with Elplast as their partner. All this with the peace of mind provided by having their products manufactured in the most modern and hygienic facilities available in the world today.
